ELIGIBILITY
Age: 17.5 to 21 years (Born between 01 Oct 1998 to 01 Apr 2002); relaxable up to 30 year of age (as on date of joining training) in respect of widows of Defence personnel who have died in harness.
Physical standards:
Height: Minimum 142 cm; relaxable by 2 cm for Daughter of Servicemen (DOS), Daughter of Ex-Servicemen (DOEX), Daughter of War Widow (DOWW), Daughter of Widow of Ex-Servicemen (DOW), Adopted daughter/daughter-in-law of a war widow, if she has no daughter including a legally adopted daughter of serving soldier/ Ex-Servicemen, Widows of Def pers who have died in harness
Weight: Proportionate to height and age as per Army medical standards; relaxable by 2 Kgs for Daughter of Servicemen (DOS), Daughter of Ex-Servicemen (DOEX), Daughter of War Widow (DOWW), Daughter of Widow of Ex-Servicemen (DOW), Adopted daughter/daughter-in-law of a war widow, if she has no daughter including a legally adopted daughter of serving soldier/ Ex-Servicemen, Widows of Def pers who have died in harness.
Educational qualification: Minimum education qualification is Matric / 10th / SSLC or equivalent with 45% marks in aggregate and minimum 33% marks in each subject studied at Matric.
TIMELINES
The online application’s last date in 8th June’19. The recruitment rallies will be held in the months of July, August & September at Ambala, Lucknow, Jabalpur, Belgaum and Shillong.
SELECTION PROCESS
The selection process will consist of following steps:
Step 1: Screening of qualitative requirements at the Rally site (Age, height, weight)
Step 2: Physical Fitness Test at Rally site:
(a) 1.6 Km Run: (i) Upto 7 Min 30 Sec – Group -I (ii) Upto 8 Min – Group -II
Provisions for Extra Time for 1.6 Km Run in Hilly Terrain is as follows :-
(i) Between 5000 Ft to 9000 Ft – Add 30 Secs to all timings. (ii) Between 9000 Ft to 12000 Ft – Add 120 Secs to all timings
(b) Long Jump 10 Feet – Need to qualify
(c) High Jump 3 Feet – Need to qualify
Step 3: Medical Checkup at the Rally site: To be deemed Fit, a candidate must be in good physical and mental health and free from any disability likely to interfere with the efficient performance of military duty in all weather and across all terrains. The selected candidates will have to appear for medical examination during the recruitment rally as per laid down medical standards. Any candidate if found to have predominantly masculine characteristics evidenced on external physical examination, will be rejected as UNFIT. Any candidate having undergone gender reassignment surgery will be declared UNFIT. Any female candidate, if found to be pregnant shall be disqualified and her candidature rejected.
Step 4: Written Examination:
Written Test through Common Entrance Examination (CEE). (a) Will be conducted for medically fit candidates at nominated venue. Location, Date and time of written test will be intimated at rally site and through Admit Cards. Result of written examination will be declared on the official website joinindianarmy.nic.in. No separate letter will be sent to the candidate. It is the responsibility of the candidate to check his result and report to ARO for documentation.
The written test will be of 1 hour duration & MCQ type. The pattern of written test is as follows:

Each question carries 1 mark. There will be negative marking of 1/4 marks in each paper for every wrong answer. The Exam will be Written type.

Step 6: Document verification: Candidates are required to bring following documents / certificates in original with two attested photocopies with them to the rally site: Admit card, Photographs, Education certificates, Nativity/Domicile certificate, Class/Caste certificate, Religion certificate, Character certificate, NCC certificate, Relationship certificate, Unmarried certificate, Affidavit, Single bank account, AADHAR card, PAN Card (as applicable).
